submission of coursework results ends today

Submission for course results scores for subjects where it is a requirement by the Uganda National Examinations Board will close today at midnight.


On September 28, 2023, UNEB issued a notice in which it asked heads of examination centres to submit results of courseworks by Saturday, September 30th 2023

In a notice issued by Jennifer Kalule Musumba the UNEB principal public relations officer, schools were urged to submit the candidates scores electronically via the UNEB portal by the midnight hour of this Saturday.

"Last call to submit course work scores for subjects where it is a requirement," read subject of the statement.

Further more, school heads were reminded of late submission attracts a surcharge of fifty thousand shillings (50,000/=) per candidate and that the board shall not receive any coursework scores after October 15.

UNEB also clarified that any student without coursework scores will not be graded.

In the same notice, the board asked heads of centers who had not yet picked their stationery were asked to do so with immediate effect and ensure that every students recieves a copy of the timetable which should also be displayed on the school notice board

This year's National Examinations are set to begin with briefing of UCE students on Friday, October 13th and the candidates will then write their examinations on Monday, October 16th starting with Geography

EAC agrees to setup a regional satellite By David Omuget East African countries under the Northern corridor integration projects (NCIPs) have agreed to set up a regional satellite. This decision was arrived at during a joint ministerial meeting of ICT infrastructure development held on 9th November 2023 in Nairobi Kenya. “The minister agreed to fast track the modalities of establishing a regional owned satellite for communication that will provide high quality, dependable broadband internet services and broadcasting capabilities” read in part the joint communiqué that was issued to the ministers. The meeting was attended by Uganda’s ICT minister Hon Chris Baryomunsi who chaired the Gathering. UACE kicks off: UNEB Cautions Schools Against Malpractice By David Omuget Uganda Advanced Certificate of Education (UACE) candidates have begun writing their examination papers today starting with History for the Arts students and Mathematics for the science candidates. This year’s candidature stands at 110,569 registered candidates as compared to 97,889 last year indicating a percentage increase of 11.4% . The females constitute 43% (47,227) while the males 57% (631,342). The upper prison Luzira has registered 34 candidates of whom 4 are females and the rest of the 30 are males. Candidates with special needs are 243 in total with only 70 requiring support personnel.
